DEMIAN'S BAJA SANGRIA
Description
This sangria is like a wine flavored lime-aid. If you ask for sangria in Baja California, this is probably the style you'll be served, not the red wine with fruit version commonly made in the US.
Ingredients
2 key limes, juiced
1 ounce simple syrup
ice
mineral water
red wine
lime wheel, garnish
Methods/steps
Juice the limes into a highball glass (or through a strainer first if you prefer no pulp at all).
Add simple syrup.
Fill highball glass with ice.
Fill 3/4 full with mineral water.
Pour red wine over back of bar spoon to layer on top of drink.
Serve with lime wheel and a straw.
